Help
I love my new husband (we married 2006) he is a nice guy 98% of the time but his ex wife is a greedy person and constantly harasses him. I have one grown married daughter and three stepkids (two are grown).
I get along pretty much with all of them.
I was a single mom and raised my daughter from age of 8-19 myself with very little help from her dad. He is just wierd and she barely speaks to him. She is I get along well now.
I am a second wife and I feel often that
I just a maid here. We both work full time and yes my husband does help with household stuff but often I come home from 10 hr days and the sink is f\ull of dishes.
Another thing is this: I had job issues was laid off three times in the past 10 years and had to file bankruptcy a number of years ago, My husband bought the house before we moved in together and recently refinanced the house. Due to the old financial issues my name is not on the mortgage (interest rate would have been outrageous which I understand. He bought a car for me but name is not on that either (same reason) My name is on the the family checking/savings accounts though. I have my own account I paying off my old student loans, plus groceries, little bills incidentals family and household items, and also put some $ in family account as well.

(my husband and stepson talk as if I am not even there (sometimes discuss someone else (one of his daughters possiby moving in (couldn't hubby ask me since it affects me?
What if hubby decides to get rid of me..I feel I have no rights.

Comment by Notsoevilstepmother on December 29, 2009 at 3:19am - Your name being on the mortgage and/or car registration has nothing to do with making decisions without you. Your marriage is a partnership. There are two of you. You have the same rights he does to make decisions involving your life together.
